Amina's Story
Amina is one of the bright young girls at Tumaini. She has faced more hardship in her young life than any child should, but her spirit remains unbroken.

Grateful for the love and support she’s received, Amina chooses not to dwell on her past. During a recent visit by the UK team, she did something truly touching - she gifted our committee member, Jess, a bracelet with her name on it.
This simple act of kindness speaks volumes about Amina’s resilient spirit,
and the power of the Tumaini community.

Meet David
Meet David, a remarkable young man who has been a beacon of hope at Tumaini. David’s early years were marked by adversity and suffering. Despite his trials, a simple but profound moment changed his life forever. He heard someone singing songs of comfort, and the music stirred something deep within him, bringing peace where there had been sorrow.

Inspired, David taught himself to play & sing, transforming his pain into beautiful, healing music. His talent blossomed as he began composing his own songs, each one a testament to his resilience and strength.

During his time with us, David has not only excelled academically as our head student but has also been a source of pastoral care for his peers. Through his music and his kindness, he has touched many lives at the school, offering a listening ear and a comforting presence to those in need.​​
